The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We like the statement, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's items that need to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
